New for 2026: A Leveling Program to track your progress in your Riding Journey.
What kind of Equestrian are You? What kind of Rider do you WANT to Be?
Are you a Casual Rider? A Student of the Horse? Do you Aspire to be A Horseman (or Woman)? How about Achieving Centaur Level?
Caroline wants to give students in her program a guided path and program to track their progress as equestrians in a non-competitive setting...
This is a flexible but sequential path to measure and increase skill
Finish goals and complete exercises for an increased sense of achievement
Mark major riding Milestones
Foster a sense of commitment to learning about horses
Emphasize that great Horsemanship is about Joy, Balance and Unity between Horse and Rider, without competition (although healthy competition to challenge yourself and your horse is fine!)
A way to bridge the gap between ‘Traditional’ styles of teaching riding and more modern empathic techniques
Foster a sense of connection from the first lesson to the Highest levels of Riding
Perfect bareback form from this rider! Goal achieved!
In 2026 Laurelin Farm students that enter into the Commitment Packages of Lessons will all be automatically entered into the program as it develops. Students will be encouraged to work towards goals of independence and mastery in specific areas, such as learning all the names of the brushes used, to why we post the trot at the beginner levels, and moving towards advanced exercises such as mastering the game of 3 trots, learning to canter a circle on 2 different horses, and much more. Simple goals like mounting a horse without help evolve to become more advanced in the levels and then act of mounting becomes an important time to communicate to your horse what is expected while we the rider lightly and bound up into the saddle as the masters do.
when your horse loves you back you are doing it right…
