About

Laurelin Farm is located at 2920 Route 39, Collins, NY. The name Laurelin means 'tree of golden light and knowledge'. This farm is a haven from the hectic pace of modern life and a place of learning and safety. Here respect for both rider and horse is emphasized, with a facility designed to keep horses as happy and healthy as possible.

Laurelin Farm is owned and operated by Caroline and Matt North. Caroline has owned horses for the last 30 years and has taught riding lessons for 24 years. Teaching others the joy of being with horses and how to create balance in their lives is Caroline’s favorite thing to do. Caroline’s primary background is Dressage, and she is a strong believer that the principles of harmony, and balanced aware riding posture provides excellent training for all disciplines, from trail riding to jumping. She is also an avid student of modern horse and rider bio-mechanics, and is a strong proponent of encouraging horses and riders to seek more athleticism from each other, whether they are a beginner at the walk or advanced riders. Caroline also uses the depth of awareness of an extensive yoga practice to inform all of her Horsemanship. Caroline stresses balance in all things: emotionally, physically, and mentally. She also competes extensively in the long distance horse sport of endurance riding and mounted archery! Visit her blog for fun reads on all her adventures!

If you're looking to learn how to ride and be with horses in a way that promotes the well-being and enjoyment of BOTH horse and rider, you've come to the right place. If you want to further your yoga practice in a peaceful, earthy setting, look no further.
