Caroline hosts a variety of workshops, clinics and day camps at the farm. She also travels to other area barns if a group of riders requests a clinic.

Anyone attending a Camp or Clinic needs to fill out and bring to the farm these forms: Release and Info Sheet

HORSE SCOUT Program

What it is:  A fun way for equine students of all ages to get more HANDS-ON knowledge of horse keeping and being a well-rounded equestrian! Earn a medal at the end! Horse Scouts are generally held every other Saturday afternoon December through March.

  • Each 3 hour Scout Session will include:           

  • Hands on Skill Practice with the horses! (Deworming, first aid, mixing feed, saddle fitting and much more)

  • Classroom type learning (breeds, colors, conformation are just a few topics)

  • Helping with all sorts of barn chores (cleaning, cobwebbing, bucket scrubbing etc., usually about 30 minutes)

  • A take home worksheet (credit for session won’t be given until completed assignment is done)

  • If we have time, we’ll play a fun game or make a quick craft in the theme of the session, we may even go snow tubing with the horses!

  • 8 Sessions (with one extra snow date) will be planned with a different topic each time.

  • Some dates may change according to weather and schedule.

  • If Students come to 4 sessions they get a bronze medal, 6 sessions get silver, 8 sessions get a gold medal for participating!  (I will also have 2 extra credit tasks)

  • Cost for the Horse Scouts Program is $150 each person for the entire length of the program due at the start of December, Dec. – March. and will include a T-shirt!

  • Suitable ages are 8 and up, adults welcome to participate as well to become WELL-ROUNDED HORSEMEN!

    KIDS CAMPS!

    Laurelin Farm Horsemanship Fun Summer Day Camp Session over 2 Days

  • Where: Laurelin Farm

  • Who: Kids Ages 8 to 14, No Horse Experience Necessary

  • When: See Events Page for this years dates   Time: 9 am to 2 pm

  • How Much: $150 for 2 days, Includes a Laurelin Farm T-shirt!

  • What to Bring: Lunch, Boots, Clothes that can get Dirty…

A day camp series that mixes horsemanship and learning with lots of fun games.  Kids will learn about breeds, colors, feeding, horse body language and lots of other stuff.  They will use the horses in some limited riding, ground driving, and leading exercises that promote teamwork!  They will do crafts, help with chores, have story time in the hay loft, and do scavenger hunts that require a bit of thinking!  Camp is limited to 8 participants per session.

Horsemanship Fun Show/Demonstration

Students and boarders are able to show off what they have learned and compete in various fun classes for ribbons.  Class List for all ages!

Caroline tries to hold 1-2 of these a season.
